Description
We believe we have a duty of care to the public.
This course is available for anyone to take for their own safety and awareness. Vascular occlusion is a rare but potentially detrimental complication of hyaluronic acid filler injections. It results from accidental injection of filler into an artery, or compression of the artery from surrounding filler.
Vascular occlusion can rapidly progress to tissue necrosis if not identified and treated quickly.
This awareness course is designed to give you an understanding of how to spot a vascular occlusion and a brief outline of hyalase.
PLEASE NOTE – This is awareness only. If you require further study, please explore our Managing Complications training course.
This is an emergency situation and therefore needs to be dissolved as soon as possible using hyalase, a prescription only medication.
